Spotted on I-40 eastbound, ~6:45 today.  Slow traffic because of what looked like a five-car fender-bender at the I-40/WadeAve. split.

I wonder if there are versions of this plate around Memphis, Little Rock, Oklahoma City, Albuquerque or Bakersfield.

For the record, I was in the passenger seat.

can you imagine paying money for the privilege to say, everyday, "I hate something" ? To decide that an everyday detail about your life would be dedicated solely to saying "I hate this"

Mind you, I dislike I-40. But if I were going to go all out for hate, I'd definitely choose the mixing bowl in Northern Virginia!

I think there's a lot of value in making people smile, and I bet this license plate generates a lot of smiles. I'm not at all turned off by the "negativity" of the message. And the plate-owner drives a hybrid. Kudos to I-H8-I-40 and to Phil for posting this!

(Agreed that I-40 in the Triangle is hardly the worst highway in the world, but the plate is still amusing).
