Five Years? Five Years!

P17225 Five years and five days later, I agree all the more with the Archer Pelican's first post: Worth Doing Poorly.* Hugs to all whose friendships I've enjoyed here in blogland. I love us much.

Well, happy birthday, of a sort. Did I miss the party, or is this it? ;)

Joe, with so many people having birthday parties in Nov and Dec, plus Thanksgiving and Christmas, I figured I'd spare the world another. But thank you for suggesting that I might have snubbed you off of a guest list (is that proper use of the word?) -- such an act would put me in a higher social tier than I would usually assume for myself.

BTW, I realize now that my blog title has the same scheme as Joe's punchline in the comments at this entry:

And I still don't know the setup for Joe's punchline.

Congratulations indeed! You were the first blogger I knew. I was like, "what's a blog?"

Congrats, Phil. Can't even remember how I came here first, though there's at least a 90% chance it was through Barry. I wonder what it is that causes so many of our blog anniversaries to fall in mid-December. Wonder how much of it has to do with having (despite all our protestations to the contrary) a little extra time on our hands. Anyway, keep up the good work. You do it well.
