Orange County Speedway, Rougemont

Above, the newly re-opened Orange County Speedway which I visited on Saturday night with the lovely Marianne and her excellent son, J.

CLICK HERE FOR RACE VIDEO!!   (No wrecks, sorry.)  My man Todd didn't do so well due to a valve cover leak. but he still placed third, courtesy of attrition and such.

Sad news -- the Alfa is beyond repair.  Or at least, beyond repair at any reasonable cost.  Sigh.  Somehow I felt better watching several wrecks at the OCS -- an affirmation that there actually is a class of people defined as "guys who like to drive fast and occasionally have to pay the price".  I'm not alone.

That was fun! My favorite part was the pre-race prayer about God driving the pace car, and God bless the officials and let them make decisions that are pleasing to Him. I did feel like an effete foreigner, though.
