Natural Cheetos

Far Freakin' Out. Organic Corn Meal as first ingredient?!
And they taste good, too.*
My only complaint is that they're in the loser puffy form, instead of the awesome caveman clubs that I enjoyed role playing with as a unnatural Cheetos-eating kid.
--------
*and as always, I recommend eating such snack foods with chopsticks, which keep the fingers from getting sticky (not to mention slowing down the wolf-eating that comes otherwise naturally to people like me).

They should have hippified the little cheetah thingy-cat - tie-dye fur, and some cheetah dreads. And I do have to wonder about the all-naturality of the disodium phosphate. Do they still leave glow-in-the-dark atomic cheese dust on your fingers?

i've never tried eating snack foods with chopsticks....do you ever do that in front of other people? i might feel a little like mr. pitt (from seinfeld, eating his candy bar with fork and knife) - then again, what happened in that episode might happen here. you could start a whole new craze!

Marianne -- I think the atomic cheese dust is mostly connected to the original orange cheetos, and these are the newer "white cheddar" dusted things. So I'm doubting the glow. But then again, I use chopsticks, so what do I know.
Darcy -- I've never done it in front of other people, but I should mention that one woman I know who *never* asks questions about me or how I'm doing or what's up with my life once asked, "do you eat popcorn with chopsticks?" when she saw my almost-empty bowl with two sticks still resting within.

Hey Phil - have you ever tried the Cheetos from Barbara's Bakery. I have bought them at Whole Foods (although it has been a while). They are super yummy and come in puffs and "normal". You should try them!

I think eating snack foods with chopsticks is a BRILLIANT idea and I am going to start doing it tonight.
Were you an unnatural child who ate Cheetos, or a child who ate unnatural Cheetos? Or maybe both?
Mmmmm. . . disodium phosphate.

Jennifer -- no, I haven't had those but will try. Of course, now I have to do a 4-way taste test with regular and puff Cheetos and regular and puff Barbara's. Next question -- what beer to use for the test?
Minty -- thanks for the kind words! And let's hope that Pinky has read this, too. Re: your question -- both.

anything to avoid sticky fingers!
and phil...the blue tostitos that come in the papery bags (like your natural cheetos, above) are vastly superior to the regular kind.

Word on the blue Tostitos. But on the Cheetos note--have you tried the *red* Cheetos? They are "flaming hot", and have, I'm afraid, spoiled me for all other Cheetos, orange or white. I've only seen them in caveman-crunchy.
